Suhaee Abro is a multidisciplinary performing artist from Karachi, Pakistan, currently based in Italy. Trained in Bharatanatyam and Kathak from the age of seven, with further exploration into contemporary dance and theatre, she has performed across South Asia, Europe, the UK, and the USA. Over the past decade, Suhaee has developed her own evolving movement language — rooted in classical forms but shaped by emotional rawness, instinct, and lived experience.
Her work blends dance, voice, sound and text to express themes of identity, displacement, and resilience. As both an artist and embodied activist, Suhaee has long used performance as a tool for healing and resistance — from protests for humans’ rights to workshops with survivors of trauma. She is the founder of dance, heart & mind, an initiative focused on healing through movement.
Whether on stage or in community spaces, her practice is continuous research — of the body, of emotion, and of what it means to be human.
