Kitty has worked as a professional freelance dance artist and creator, and since 2011 has worked with Candoco as an associate artist, primarily leading youth classes. They founded and ran Technique Exchange, a program of pay-what-you-can classes and workshops at Chisenhale Dance Space. Over lockdown they began training for AAT qualifications in accounting to shift focus to what happens behind the scenes to make it possible for artistic projects to happen.
Kitty’s approaches are shaped by disability, mental illness and queerness. They are passionate about dance for its potential to bring joy, change lives and amplify the voices and stories of marginalised people. Kitty is delighted to be working with Company of Others, a company whose priorities resonate so strongly with their own.
