Sophie studied at Northern School of Contemporary Dance where she worked with influential choreographers such as Hagit Barr and Gary Clarke.
She has always sought to give word to thought through movement. Her expression of dance is an articulation of her lucid imagination, the desire to connect with the Wild Woman and her strong belief in the human spirit, something that can be disarmed and united through creative output.
Sophie has a passionate fervor to learn, develop, teach and connect. Currently based in Leeds, since graduating she has been working on an innate desire to find enjoyment through creating via movement song and sound. Exploring the unique landscapes of Yorkshire as well and the diverse communities within Leeds has kept her creative desires alive and kicking.
