Anne Hornsby

Anne set up Mind’s Eye Audio Description in 1992 to provide access to the arts for blind and visually impaired people.  Since then, she has described thousands of arts events, including plays, musicals, operas, dance pieces, circus, disability arts, exhibitions and films, and a few other things besides!  In the world of dance, she has worked with English National Ballet, Motionhouse, Damae and Kapow, amongst many others.  Favourite venues where she has worked include the Royal Albert Hall, the Natural History Museum, and of course King Edward’s Bay.  She is an accredited audio description trainer. Anne particularly enjoys working collaboratively to convey the artistic vision, and to create vivid visual images in the minds of listeners.  She loves walking and wild swimming and is looking forward to being back in the North Sea!
