Seasonal Gatherings

Every few months we bring together people from all our projects to share food, dance and build intergenerational, cross-cultural relationships. Our hope for these friendships is that they can be nurtured and will continue to grow, independently of the work of Company of Others – moving toward a more connected society. These events are our Seasonal Gatherings, where we unite in our shared love and appreciation of dance and movement, and celebrate each other’s achievements.

We offer these occasions as opportunities for our community to share their feedback, thoughts and ideas, to influence the work of Company of Others. Creating a democratic space to redistribute decision making power in our organisation.

Save the Date! Our next Seasonal Gathering will be our Spring Gathering on Wednesday 1st April 2026. More details soon…

About our Seasonal Gatherings:

Spring Gathering

Our Spring Gathering is hosted and shaped by Company of Others Ensemble

In previous years, we have shared afternoon tea-style food, enjoyed performances from the group, danced under disco lights as part of a Community Disco, in a space decorated with daffodils to welcome spring.

Autumn Gathering/AGM

At our Autumn Gathering and AGM we reflect together on our shared achievements in the previous year and look towards our plans for the year ahead. An important part of this event is when our community take part in our annual voting – sharing their hopes and ideas for future activities at Company of Others and The Bricks.

We follow this with a delicious meal and a performance from our young dancers, Walker Youth Dance Project.

Winter Gathering

Hosted by the women of Moving Together, our Winter Gathering is an annual celebration filled with dancing, music, good food, creativity and friendship that feels freeing and soulful.

The event begins with exclusive time for women only, where we take part in a movement workshop, and enjoy creative activities such as letter writing and banner making. The evening rounds out with a shared meal where everyone is welcome to come celebrate and eat.

At previous events, there has been a Mehndi artist adorning hands with gorgeous designs, and a massage therapist for a moment of rest and nourishment.
