Beccy Owen

Beccy Owen is a Welsh-born songwriter, singer, musical director and composer based in the North East of England. Over the last twenty years Beccy has made a name for her self by releasing six solo albums. Her most recent record was CHAOTICA, an eight song requiem to the loss and resilience involved with living with bipolar disorder and trauma, recorded under the guise of all-female collective Beccy Owen and The Refuge.

Beccy’s work as a recording artist, musical director and theatre maker has won critical acclaim in both the media and amongst her army of underground supporters. Described by the NME as ‘a delinquent Carole King’ and by Music Week as ‘a fallen, aggrieved dark angel, and a very, very special talent’.
