Michaela is a dance artist based North East of England. She trained in contemporary dance and has been working in the industry for over 10 years.
Having established her own company and toured internationally, Michaela found an interest in working with families, delivering resilience and outdoor activities with a focus on health and wellbeing.
Michaela was a company dancer for KaSt dance company performing in 4 works and is now beginning to explore her own choreography further, with a focus on combining storytelling and dance, African styles and international collaboration. Her creative practice is rooted in a belief that dance can be more ethical, and we should provide more opportunities to more people, to experience ambitious and high quality dance.
I am incredibly excited to begin working with Company of Others and to be part of an organisation that not only lives it’s values, but that has bold and ambitious aspirations for art in the region. I hope to be able to support their vision and throw myself wholeheartedly into each project. Let’s see what we can do!
