On a weekly basis, Company of Others run movement workshops in the day centre at St Anthony of Padua Care Services, who provide day and home care services for older people and disabled adults in the Newcastle upon Tyne area.
Delivering both group sessions working on balance and mobility, and more intensive 2-1 sessions with residents who have challenges in leaving their homes, we hope to build confidence and create a bridge to joining the regular sessions.

“It helps me a great deal with my balance and what not. I’m getting to walk a bit better because I couldn’t walk, I had had a lot of surgery.”
“It was just so lovely because I was able to do things.”

“I can’t really explain it properly, but it did give us confidence. I mean, I’m a lot better at moving around now than I was then. Maybe that was the start.”
“It does pick you up a bit, I’m getting more confidence after it. And a sense of achievement really.”
