Eva Leung

Originally from Hong Kong, Eva relocated to Newcastle in 2020 to study for an MA in Creative and Cultural Industries Management, where she found a new home in the North East’s vibrant arts and cultural community.

A lifelong lover of the arts, particularly dance and theatre, Eva has worked across a range of creative organisations, from supporting opera productions in Hong Kong to coordinating projects in a multidisciplinary arts space. These experiences have deepened her appreciation for the many ways creativity can bring people together and sparked her curiosity to explore different art forms, both behind the scenes and as a participant.

Outside of work, Eva loves discovering performances, trying new dance styles and documenting everyday moments through analogue photography. You can often find her swing dancing with the local community at Swing Tyne, where she enjoys building inclusive and welcoming spaces through social dancing. She believes that small acts of care, organisation and connection can have a meaningful impact on people’s experiences and communities.
