Allison Birt

Allison Birt (she/her) is a Freelance Creative Producer from Newcastle. Previously, she worked as a Producer in the Tees Valley for ARC Stockton and in London for Clean Break Theatre Company. Currently, in her freelance work, Allison is Studio Manager for Sculptor and Drag King Kitt. Most recently, Allison is producing the National Tour of Learn From Us, a co-created dance piece by Rosetta Life. As well as working as Project Administrator for Difference North East, supporting the organising of Disability History Month across the North East in 2026-7.
Across all her work, Allison is passionate about co-creation, community led projects and ensuring equal access to the arts. Allison’s own lived experience as a Queer & Disabled and Neurodivergent person informs her work, and is why she will always advocate for safer and more equitable spaces in the arts.
This is Allison’s first time sitting on a board and she is delighted to support Company of Others at a time when we need community and safe spaces to express ourselves more than ever. Allison first watched Company of Others perform Crackle. Dust. in Byker Community Centre as a teenager, and now nearly ten years later, joins the Board in hopes that more young people will engage in culture, see themselves in culture, and end up making the decisions too!
Outside of work stuff, Allison is a big fan of Little Mix, roller skating, and the colour pink.
