Nazli Tabatabai-Khatambakhsh is an award-winning interdisciplinary auteur, academic and advisor based in the United Kingdom connecting internationally through her Arts Council England funded International Society for the Performing Arts (ISPA New York) Fellowship 2017-2019.
In the last year, she has been experimenting with a new mid-scale touring production titled MEDEA: SUN GODDESS RISING. The journey to this began in May 2018 as part of 5 Ways to Begin Scottish Mental Health Festival; August 2018 The Scale of Female Ambition National Theatre of Scotland; October 2018 National Writers Centre and Visiting Arts Residency; February 2019 Edinburgh Iranian Festival workshop at Edinburgh University. Currently through her existing expertise in contemporary theatre and interests in contemporary dance she researching and experimenting with contemporary experimental opera.
Nazli is currently completing her MLitt Theatre and Performance Practices at the University of Glasgow made possible through the competitive Scottish Funding Council Scholarship. She has also been awarded a University of Glasgow Student and Staff Collaboration Research Award into Feedback and Assessment.
