The terms of reference for this Committee are currently under review and Dr Davie will be a key contributor to any changes.
Shanta is particularly keen on exploring the implications and consequences of using statistical techniques, such as accounting, in policy implementations relating to social enactments of change. Her research projects include: (1) accounting implications of female and male gendering policies and processes; (2) accounting and the perpetuation of race & ethnicity based inequalities; and, (3) accounting, culture and hybridization processes in globalising contexts.
She has received International awards for excellence in research and publishes in highly rated International academic journals.
Shanta is particularly excited about joining the company as her passion matches Company of Others’ commitment to uphold the key values that drive her own work.
